    Hi Anton

as you may see my blog is not in Russian, so I’ll reply in English.
(to those who don’t understand Russian, the question is about the books recommendations)

I don’t read many Oracle books – most of the information comes to me from http://orana.info. In my opinion there are not many Oracle books worth reading for people interested in performance:
    * TOP. This is a must read. The only problem with it is missing part 2 called Advanced TOP written by Tanel Poder. There’s also a fundamental book by Cary Millsap and Jeff Holt called Optimizing Oracle Performance which is usually suggested for reading, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you were not bored by maths in high school.
    * One of Tom Kyte’s books – you can download Expert Oracle Database Architecture for free from RedGate
    * Oracle Core by Jonathan Lewis
    It’s enough, I think.
If you need perfect Oracle book reviews, then no doubt you have to go to Charles Hooper’s blog. He reads a lot of books on Oracle and posts excellent reviews.
